Applications of FFKM perfluoroelastomer compounds

FFKM compounds are used in highly aggressive chemical environments and high temperatures, where maximum sealing and durability are required:

  • Chemical industry: for seals and components exposed to reactive fluids and corrosive processes.
  • Oil & Gas: for static and dynamic seals resistant to H₂S, steam, hydrocarbons, and high pressure.

FFKM Material

FFKM is a perfluoroelastomer with a very high fluorine content (up to 75%), combining the elastic properties of rubber with the typical resistance of PTFE.

Its main characteristics include:

  • Extreme chemical resistance: stable even in strong acids, ketones, esters, aldehydes, and aggressive fluids
  • High operating temperature: up to +320°C, with excellent performance even beyond 3000 hours
